What am I Afraid of?

What am I afraid of? 🤔 I used to be afraid that I would never have children but that fear has all but vanished. I have a "fear" of heights that leaves me rigid and unable to move. I even have a fear of speaking in front of others, which seems strange considering the large groups of people a wedding officiant is required to speak in front of. I'm not exactly afraid of spiders but I will scream if they get on me and don't even get me started on my fear of house centipedes!

All the fears I've mentioned are fears that I try to face on a fairly frequent basis because they are things I feel aren't rational. (The thing with the house centipedes is so visceral that it feels unable to be controlled or changed.) The greatest fear I have, though, is of not being remembered.

As a child, I changed schools between second and third grade, between seventh and eighth grade, and between ninth and tenth grade. I would see former classmates when I was out and about and in many instances, I remembered them with great detail and they stared at me with blank expressions as if they were trying to find a hint of recognition or they had a look of fear on their faces because I knew so much about them but they seemed to know nothing of me.

If you want a wedding officiant that remembers your wedding day for years to come, I can assure you that you will not be forgotten.
