Where I Want to be In 10 Years

2027. Sounds so futuristic but if I've learned anything it's that 10 years is but a blink of an eye particularly when looking through the lens of parenthood. By 2027 I will have been married for 27 years {what the ??!} and will be the mother of a teenage Herr Winter der Junge and a tween Fraulein Winter!!! What a different life we'll be living then.

Both children will be in school full time and Petit Cadeau Ministries will be over a decade old. By then I will have made officiating my full time focus and successful career. I don't know how feasible it would be to have purchased a wedding venue by then but that is certainly a goal.

By 2027, I would like to have traveled to Europe with my family (Herr Winter, Herr Winter der Junge, Fraulein Winter, my parents, siblings, their spouses, and nieces and nephews) to visit places significant to our heritage {the Alsace, Hesse, Bohemia, & Moravia}. By then I should be fluent in French & German {Czech, too?} thanks to Rosetta Stone, Duolingo, and Tune-In Radio.

By 2027 I hope to have a house in the city, a dog as a part of our family and my running partner, and made running a part of my (almost) everyday life again.

I expect by then Herr Winter and I will be able to spend more quality time alone together since the children will be better able to fend for themselves.

You've heard or read most this before I know. Practice makes perfect. Repetition drills it in. Fake it 'til you make it, baby!

If you or someone you know is newly engaged, is looking to elope or have a giant shindig to celebrate their love, throw me a bone and send them my way. I am determined to make a name for myself in this world but I know I can't do it alone.

All my love to those of you following me on this blogodocious journey. Your support means the world to me! 😘
