Happy {Astrological} New Year!

Did you know it was time to celebrate?! Besides ringing in the astrological new year yesterday by watching the premiere of "Gifted" after 10 days of either my own sickness or that of my littles, I've been solidifying my dreams for Petit Cadeau Ministries. So much good stuff coming down the pipeline...now if only I had a Fairy Godmother that could gift me a building or two. 🤔 I'll work on tracking her down but for now find out where our stars align...

Western Astrology

In Western Astrology, the calendar begins with Aries {Mars} - The Ram. Aries begins on March 21 during the last segment of the Pisces-Aries Cusp {March 21 - 24} and runs through the beginning segment of the Aries-Taurus Cusp {April 19 - 20} ending on April 20. Aries represents the beginning of all things. Areas of the body ruled by Aries are the head, face, upper jaw, cerebrum, and cerebro-spinal system. I love the description of Aries by Astrography: "Like the energy of the first rush of springtime, Aries moves into the world in a headstrong, pioneering way, and prefer starting to finishing." According to my favorite astrological resource, "The Secret Language of Birthdays," "...it symbolizes the spirit or soul coming to earth and in physical terms the birth and early development of the infant child." Aries are the rulers of the First House and they're not afraid to tell you they are number one.

Aries people you may have heard of: Leonardo da Vinci, St. Theresa de Avila, Raphael, Jane Goodall, Samuel Beckett, Billie Holliday, Marlon Brando, Sara Vaughan, Charlie Chaplin, Evelyn Ashford, Vincent van Gogh, Marguerite Duras, J.S. Bach, Bette Davis, Hans Christian Anderson

Chinese Astrology

While we welcomed the Chinese New Year back on January 28, this is as good a time as any to remind you that we are currently in the year of the Fire Rooster. People born in a Rooster year are very observant, hardworking, resourceful, courageous, and talented. They are very confident in themselves and, naturally, like to be the center of attention. They always want to appear attractive and beautiful. They do like to brag about themselves and their accomplishments. Because they continually seek attention, others get annoyed with them at times. Characteristics that describe the Fire Rooster are: trustworthy, a strong sense of timekeeping, and responsibility at work.

Well-known Fire Roosters include: Dawn French, Donny Osmond, Martin Luther King III, Stephen Fry, Hans Zimmer, Dolph Lundgren, Jools Holland

Native American Astrology

In Native American Astrology, no one sign dominates a person's personality. The signs are depicted on a Medicine Wheel and just like a circle, there is no beginning and no end. In the Northern Hemisphere, Falcon is the Birth Totem that rules from March 21 - April 19 (in the Southern Hemisphere, Falcon falls between September 23 and October 22). "Falcon people are true visionaries whose quest for wisdom gives wings to their soul. Though impatient, Falcon's fiery spirit loves with legendary intensity." The days represented by the Falcon Totem constitute the "Awakening Time." Falcon people are energetic to the core and lead exciting lives full of whirlwind activity. They make for thrilling people due to their exuberance and self-assured nature, even with the touch of arrogance many of them exhibit. Falcons, like Aries, are natural leaders, and others are often affected by the Falcon person's enthusiastic and enterprising spirit.

Egyptian Astrology

Egyptian Goddess Isis is currently presiding over our night skies. Egyptian Astrology is far different from other astrologies in that certain days are ruled by specific gods or goddesses. Using Isis as an example, it rules from March 11 - 31, later from October 18 - 29, and one last time from December 19 - 31. Those born under the sign of Isis are known to be active, straightforward, and dignified. They are motivated by having love in their lives. They are confident in their love lives. They may seek out romantic relationships where their partner is adventurous and carefree. They can be demanding and they need constant change or they become restless and uneasy. The constant need for change can hinder them from focusing on one goal. Their restless nature will keep them from finishing projects and they tend to switch back and forth between too many things at once.
